Specialty Care

Our short-term and long-term skilled nursing care features additional specialty care services including:

Certified Alzheimer’s/dementia care unit

Our certified memory care program is a secure memory care neighborhood offering specialized, supportive care for those living with memory loss and is a certified Alzheimer’s and dementia care unit as designated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Dedicated Orthopedic Recovery Rooms

For patients recovering from joint replacement or other orthopedic surgery, our dedicated ortho recovery rooms provide a peaceful, private space to recover and regain strength before returning home. Guests enjoy enhanced amenities, and professional rehabilitation therapies are available on-site seven days a week as prescribed.

Ventilator Program

Our respiratory therapy and ventilator program focuses on helping patients achieve their goals and best possible quality of life. Our dedicated ventilator unit is led by a board-certified pulmonologist with respiratory therapists available 24-hours a day providing specialized care.

Behavioral Health Program

Our secure behavioral health unit treats adults of all ages living with chronic mental health conditions. Behavioral health services include medication stabilization and long-term residential care.

Bariatric capabilities

We are able to accommodate patients requiring specialized equipment, such as bariatric beds and Hoyer lifts.

Wound care

We are very proud of our wound care outcomes. Part of our success results from having a staff nurse who specializes in wound care and assists in assessing, treating and managing surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and related wound and skin conditions.

Restorative care

Restorative nursing care is that “little extra help” for those who don’t necessarily need rehab, but still need additional assistance to continue improving or to maintain their current level of independence. From exercises to increase or maintain strength and mobility to assistance with dining, patients receive the encouragement, cues, and support they need.

VitalStim® therapy

A proven treatment for dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), VitalStim uses small electrical currents to stimulate throat muscles. Our rehab therapists have achieved lasting results for many residents using VitalStim to help them retrain their muscles to improve swallowing.
